Diverse Societal Partners

Collaborating on research

The Leiden Asia Centre involves societal partners in identifying and developing core themes that best match the needs of the parties concerned and that are in line with our own capacities, unique expertise and academic network. We also involve our partners in formulating specific research questions. Finding the right answers starts with asking the right questions.

We invite societal parties to become involved in the relevant research. The Leiden Asia Centre is also open to businesses and organisations that approach us with their own specific research requirements.

Partners in disseminating knowledge

A substantial part of the collaboration focuses on the following stage: disseminating the results of the research. This is mainly in the hands of the societal partners, who make the research findings available to a broad public via their network or by means of joint meetings or publications.

Partners

Anyone who has a research question can approach the Leiden Asia Centre. In some cases a question can be incorporated into our current research activities. When assessing whether we can convert a question into new research, the key focal areas of the Leiden Asia Centre itself play a primary role.
